Tamimi Markets launches New innovative Rewards program

Tamimi Markets, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading retailers and long PHILOSHOPIC user have launched their NEW Rewards Program today to the Saudi pubic!

The solution delivered by PHILOSHOPIC is based on the SMASH Digital Wallet framework and enables consumers to earn points as they shop and fully manage their Rewards account in a truly omni-channel fashion. A customer web portal or a purpose built mobile application allow customers to register their Tamimi Rewards card, check points balance in real time, convert points into Saudi Riyals and immediately use them using the Tamimi Rewards card or mobile app to pay at the Point of Sale. Customer can also simply donate the earned values to selected charity organisations of their choice. At every step the customer is in full control being able to view all the details of every transaction (ear or spend) ! For example can view every purchase made using Saudi Riyals earned from the rewards program including date, time and store.

If in Saudi, simply grab a card from any Tamimi Markets store and start enjoying the benefits in a seamless and exciting manner!!!

Along with the launch of the Tamimi Rewards program, Tamimi have launched a fully redesigned and updated modern public websiste, a members portal for Tamimi Rewards and Tamimi Gift Cards account administration and a new modern Mobile Application for iOS and Android! All designed and delivered by PHILOSHOPIC extending further our partnership and commitment to Tamimi Markets. More exciting innovations are coming up so stay tuned!

PHILOSHOPERS @ Devoxx

A team of our cloud engineers travelled to Antwerp in Belgium to attend Devoxx – a conference by developers for developers  around Java, Android, HTML5 and more… This year’s conference in Belgium was sold out. Our team attended both the 3-day main conference program as well as the additional 2 days of educational deep-dive sessions bringing home apart from tons of stickers, t-shirts and spinners further valuable experience, ideas, valuable contacts and cutting edge knowledge

The main focus of our participation was around new trends such as AI, Machine Learning and Big Data analysis, areas that we invest towards bringing more exciting innovative features for our customers and the consumers. During our presence in Devoxx Belgium we had the chance to extensively engage with teams from Google on the latest developments of Google Cloud, a key enabling pillar for our frameworks as well as get to know first-hand other innovative APIs from leading providers such as IBM and less known but extremely innovative parters we can work with in the future!

Gradually PHILOSHOPPERS are becoming also Devoxxians and we cant wait to have more members of the PHILOSHOPIC engineering team to attend future editions of Devoxx !

PHILOSHOPIC continues collaboration with UCY MBA Students

Following the success of previous years, PHILOSHOPIC continues their partnership with the University of Cyprus’ MBA program.

PHILOSHOPIC worked closely with the MBA students to produce their final year Applied Business Project (ABP) in which they conducted extensive market research exploring various revenue models of new forms of consumer centric loyalty programs. The official report, titled “Introducing a New Mobile Application to the Cypriot Market: Marketing Plan” and published in December 2017, focuses on the Digital Wallet Framework ‘SMASH’ offered by PHILOSHOPIC, and analyses and predicts the best way to deploy the aforementioned solution into the Cypriot Market.

Among other go-to-market considerations, the students explored different revenue models and explored the acceptance of each from a business angle and consumer angle, making a final recommendation that PHILOSHOPIC will adopt as part of the HULK project.
